Description

The ventral sucker of tlumbsucker is an adhesive disc that are located ventrally, behind the pectoral fins. These ventral suker is pelvic fins that are modified to form a clinging disc with a thickened margin on the ventral surface of the body. The fish use these discs to adhere to the substrate.
